Snow

My office shut down yesterday morning around 10:30 because of a snowstorm. Even though it was hardly a “storm” by the standards I’m used to, there was definitely enough that by the time I got home, my neighbors had built quite an impressive snowman that was still standing this morning. I miss Michigan winters, so this is a nice treat.

I stopped by the coffee shop on my way home yesterday for a hot drink and enjoyed being able to soak up the warmth while I shrugged off the snow my coat caught on the quick walk from jeep to front door. If I hadn’t been in a hurry to get home for a nap, I would have sat by the window and watched the snow fall for a while. It’s a rare occasion that I get a chance for a midmorning snooze.

We had a real snow storm but these tough Chicagoians do therapy anyway so I was at work today. When a bored patient who was folding laundry threw a pair of rolled up socks at me I knew what I should have been doing today instead of working - SOCK WARS!

Do you know you can put a pound of white sugar in a sock and it works as an excellant black jack

We had three snow/ice days this week.

we had sunshine and 60 degrees.

1. Sock Wars were awesome.

2. I find a handful of doorknobs to work equally well.

3. I miss snow days. I heard Memphis teachers complaining that they didn't have any.

4. It's supposed to hit the low 70s today and tomorrow, but then cool off again. Weather is weird.

Next time you're home Johnny, we're testing out that White Sugar Blackjack idea.

I was hoping we'd get some snow here in Fresno like we did ten years ago, but no such luck. Lots of rain though.
