Thoughts On My face

I miss my beard. Almost as much as I miss my piercings, I miss my beard. Granted, it was never a very good beard. It was definitely the patchy, uneven and scraggly beard of a college student. But it meant I didn’t have to shave, which means far more to me than looking good. I loathe shaving; I hate shaving with the passionate intensity of a thousand burning suns. I hate it so much that I only shave every other day and never on the weekends. And on the days I shave, I actually only use an electric beard trimmer with the guard removed. As a result, because I still don’t grow it in very thick, I walk around most of the time sporting a not quite five o’clock shadow. I like to say that it transforms my boyish good looks into rugged good looks. But really, I just hate shaving.

I love my beard and have had it since July 4th 1972

I once dated a bearded lady.

i second that emotion... i hate shaving with a passion as well but i found that using a electric razor if possible makes it a tiny bit more enjoyable

love the picture at the top

I feel like you put down into words my EXACT thoughts on shaving and the same habbits of using the ungaurded beard trimmer instead of a straight razor. We should date.

Yeah, I hate shaving. One time I had this beard, and it was itchy. I hate being itchy more than shaving, so I shaved it off. Moral of the story: Look both ways before you cross the street.

I haven't seen anybody in a while... but I've been sporting this soul patch that's near halfway down my chin for a good while now. And I'm totally with you guys on the shaving no more than every other day deal. All this talk already has me dreading tomorrow morning and the shaving I know must come.

Regarding your boyish good looks, I think the toxic chicken air is having an effect on your brain cells. Maybe you shouldn't inhale.

Maybe you should try waxing your face. I hear it takes a while for the hair to grow back. Problem solved.

is it wrong that i like to refresh your page just to see different pictures

Is it wrong that I do the same thing even though I have all the pictures on my computer?

Speaking of beards, check out today's Cyanide and Happiness comic.

I'm gonna go against the grain here and say I like a razor over an electric shaver. Those Mach 3s are sweet. I do like to let the shadow grow for a couple of days though.

When going for smooth, I definately prefer the manual razor. But I'm usually going for speed, and electric is fast.

Shaving are we? You trying to become respectible or something???

Yeah. Shaving is a pain in the *ss! I have always said the biggest mistake I ever make during my teenage years was atarting to shave. You see, I was sixteen when I started, but I only had two or three hairs on the face that were worthy of the blade. It was all for show. I just wanted to shave soo bad. Everyone else was doing it, I hated being left out of that ritual. I wanted to be a MAN DAMMIT!!!

And where did it all get me... commenting on Johnny's blog, that's where.

PS. The Mach 3's do rock! I keep switching to cheaper razors and they pale in comparison.

Aye to the Mach 3s. I've honestly never been able to get the trick of electrics down. Because it doesn't get me smooth, I get frustrated with it, and keep trying... inevitably razor-burning myself and cursing the inventor of the infernal machine.

When I have had to use one, I usually end up looking "seedy" rather than "scruffy" after a few hours. (My facial hair follows these phases:
Day 1: smooth--> mostly smooth
Day 2: stubbly; I clearly havents shaved today. Starts out okay, by the end of the day it's gone a bit to seed.
Day 3: Seedy all day.
Day 4: Scruffy. This is acceptable, and continues until about day 5 or 6, when it is revealed that I
am "patchy." If I've made it past the "seedy" hump, I can enjoy the scruffy ride for a little while... but it's rare these days, as I work in an office.)

Johnny i love the new look are there any pictures of me on here because that would be awesome. "Just sayin"

I don't have any digital pictures of you and my scanner sucks, but if you send me a picture of us, or just you, I'll put it up.
