Riddle Me This
It's been too long since I've done anything with the leaderboard, so here's a riddle. Points to be decided by how easy this is to solve.
There are no buildings in my towns
My rivers are dry
There are no cars on my roads
What am I?

I got a good one. Supposedly, some fishermen told Homer (the poet, not Simpson) this riddle, and because he couldn't solve it he killed himself: What we caught we threw away, what we didn't catch we kept.

That's "explosive diarrhea" Mark, explosive diarrhea. And in answer to your question, no

Pretty pissed off at the friend who said that buying a town off ebay was a cool idea!

Either Rats or lice

...and I totally didn't cheat (though I did check my answer)

Here's one I totally wouldn't have guessed:
I give you a group of three. One is sitting down and will never get up. The second eats as much as is given to him, yet is always hungry. The third goes away and never returns. What are they?

The Captain gets it with lice, very good.
My guess on yours is some kind of puntuation... it sounds like a grammatical rule or something.. lemme get back to you on that

The answer is of course mustard-- I'll take Silly Riddles for $600

okay, I give up. My best guess had something to do with internal organs, but it fell apart on the "goes away and never returns thing

What does man love more than life?
Fear more than death or mortal strife?
What do the poor have, what the rich require,
And what contented men desire?
What does the miser spend, the spendthrift save,
And all men carry to their graves?

My thunder comes before the lightning;
My lightning comes before the clouds;
My rain dries all the land it touches.
What am I?

Good work, Cup. I never would have gotten that one. Did you cheat? Or did you work it out?
Posted by: Barefoot | March 13, 2006 02:02 PM

Thanks for giving us a chance to guess, the Cup. I still think Mark's sounds like a grammar rule

Posted by: The Captain | March 16, 2006 01:26 PM
Naw, you were right the first time. Give me credit for making that one up on the spot, but it was probably too easy. Especially considering how my train of thought runs. Haha.. runs... yeah, my sense of humor too
