A convoy of one anyway. It took me over twelve hours to get back to Batesville last night because of two big traffic jams and some horrible weather. I spent the last 45 minutes of my trip racing against a tornado warning moving toward my town. Generally speaking, the weather has to be really bad before I get nervous and last night, it was that bad. I was driving 35 mph and I could still barely see the road. I was in the middle of nowhere when the man on the radio started telling people to get out of their cars and seek shelter. When I finally got to my apartment I hadn't even started unloading yet and the sirens went off. We didn't actually get a tornado but I was definitely relieved to get home in one piece. On the plus side gas seems to be a bit cheaper down here. I watched prices steadily go up until I crossed the Mississippi, then they dropped sharply and I switched to mid-grade just because it was cheaper than I had been paying for regular the whole way down.
