Things have warmed up again down here so I've had the top off my jeep the past couple days. It makes driving to and from work a little breezy, but damn nice. Especially coming back from work when the sun is low behind me but the air is still warm. It’s a nice drive that is, until I got stuck at a stop light next to a truck hauling chickens. For the uninitiated, while driving around Arkansas you can catch the nasty whiff of chicken house from time to time, but let me tell you, that smell is nothing compared to what you get in the open air, five feet from a thousand chickens sweltering in the sun. I’ve been stopped at some long lights before when I’ve been in a hurry, but none have ever felt that long.
