I love pets. I can't remember not having a pet. I've lived with dogs, cats, birds, fish, lizards, snakes, mice, chickens, ducks, geese, sheep, goats and a ferret. Not all the animals have been mine, but I've spent time with every one. What I like best about animals, is that their different personalities. I used to have this dog that did what he wanted when he wanted, he knew he would get punished but just didn’t care. He was a really weird dog, but of all the animals I've ever had, he would have to be my favorite. His name was Chocolate Moose, you have to respect my parents for letting their six year old name the dog. He slept with me, kept me company and occasionally let me use him as a pillow on the family room floor. Of course everyone remembers Baby, my most unusual pet. She also had a distinct personality and for a while, a penchant for biting my toes. My lease specifically prohibits me from having any pets, which I don't like. But it's hard to find an apartment that lets you have them, especially when you’re in a hurry. My favorite pets are dogs. They're loyal and trusting and you can tell they need you. Plus they don't constantly judge me like cats do. While researching the possibility of a pet sloth, I came across what I hope to be my next pet: The Fennec Fox. I usually don’t like small dogs but I’ll make an exception for one of these crazy buggers. They’re in the canine family and are the world’s smallest fox. Otherwise, I'm adopting a rescue dog.
