JazzFest is going down in old town this weekend. Next to the blues, jazz is my favorite form of live music. They're both so much more raw and emotional than a lot other forms of music. That rawness is amplified when the musicians are performing live and have a bit more free range than when they're working on a studio project. Short story long, a band called Society is playing at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, if anyone wants to come with me that would be awesome. I'd also be down for checking out Dick Fizzell and the Dixieland Express at 4:00 p.m. if anyone wanted to see them too.
