A Clone of My Own

A Clone of My Own

<rant>
Has anybody seen The 6th Day, starring everyones favorite Austrian, The Governator? Remember that company RePet? If your pet dies you could have it cloned so your kids don't have to know about it. Kind of creepy if you ask me but apparently that kind of technology for hire is not too far off. So not far off that it's already available for a hefty price. Personally I wouldn't pay two cents to have a cat cloned but maybe that's because I've had bad experiences with them pissing all over my clean cloths. Cloning pets makes about as much sense to me as naming your furniture after afterbirth. Admittedly, that chair looks pretty darn comfortable, and I would much prefer to own that, than this tragic invention. The perfect accessory for people who just aren't slutty enough. I don't see a lot of slutty looking people in the University Computing Center where I work. It's mostly populated by larger men who click and eat all day and other social outcast looking individuals. Everything I know about the medicine and the human body from my sister's education, tells me that although many geeks will fall prey to this device, you can't burn fat by simply shocking the crap out of yourself. I'm not one for exercise but I would rather run a few miles than get shocked every time I click the mouse. On the plus side, think about how cool you would look with all those electrodes stuck to your body.
